What is Paycryptohost?

Paycryptohost is a self-custodial Bitcoin invoicing platform. We generate cryptocurrency payment URLs you send to your clients so they can pay you in BTC. We are not a web hosting, VPS, or domain registration provider — we only handle the payment side.

How long does it take to issue my first payment link?

About two minutes. Create an account, add your Bitcoin address or xPub, fill in an amount in USD, and click Create. You get a shareable URL and QR code ready to send to your client.

Do my customers need a Paycryptohost account to pay?

No. The payment link opens a public checkout page — your client just scans the QR or pastes the address into their wallet and pays. Only you (the merchant) need an account.

How do I share a payment link with a client?

Copy the URL from the invoice page or use the built-in 'Send by email' button. Links also work in WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, or embedded in a PDF — anywhere a URL works.

Does each payment link have its own QR code?

Yes. Every link auto-renders a QR code your client can scan from any Bitcoin wallet on the planet.

Can I customise the payment page with my business branding?

Yes. Add your business name, logo, and brand colour from Settings → Branding. The hosted payment page and PDF receipt will both reflect it.

Is Paycryptohost a custodial Bitcoin processor?

No. We are fully non-custodial. Customer payments settle directly to the wallet address or xPub you control. We never hold customer funds and cannot freeze or reverse on-chain transactions.

How is the BTC amount on an invoice calculated?

When the customer opens the link we fetch the current BTC/USD market rate from our price feed and lock the BTC amount for the invoice expiry window you chose.

What happens if the customer pays late and the BTC price has moved?

Accepted Answer

Invoices expire on the date you set. If the customer pays after expiry the payment is logged as late and you can regenerate the invoice at the new market rate from the same flow.

Can I accept partial payments?

Yes. Partial payments are detected, displayed on the invoice, and reconciled automatically once the remaining balance arrives.

What is an xPub and why should I use one?

An extended public key lets Paycryptohost derive a fresh receiving address for every invoice — without ever seeing your private keys. Each charge gets its own address, which is great for accounting and on-chain privacy.

Which wallets are supported for xPub export?

Accepted Answer

Electrum (most recommended), Sparrow Wallet, BlueWallet, Blockchain.com, and Ledger. Pick your provider when adding the xPub so we can validate the prefix matches.

Can I use a single address instead of an xPub?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can paste a single BTC receiving address — every invoice will settle to that address. xPub is recommended for higher invoice volumes.

Can I bill clients on a recurring schedule?

Yes. Create a subscription, set the cadence, and we generate the invoice automatically each cycle and email the payment link to your client.

What happens when a subscription invoice goes unpaid?

Reminder emails fire at 3-day and 1-day intervals before expiry. After expiry the next cycle can be regenerated at the current market rate.

Which blockchains do you support?

Bitcoin mainnet today. Lightning Network and additional chains are on the public roadmap.

Are confirmations required before an invoice is marked paid?

Accepted Answer

By default an invoice is marked Paid on first mempool detection and Confirmed at one block confirmation. Higher-value invoices can require additional confirmations via dashboard settings.

Do you charge a fee per transaction?

There are no per-transaction fees on Bitcoin invoices on most plans. See the pricing page for plan limits.

How is my Paycryptohost subscription billed?

Subscriptions are quoted in USD and paid in Bitcoin from the same invoicing flow you use with your own clients.

Can I download my own invoices for accounting?

Yes. Every invoice and every paid charge can be exported as PDF or CSV from the dashboard.

How do I enable two-factor authentication?

Visit Settings → Security and pair an authenticator app (TOTP). 2FA is required for sensitive actions like withdrawals and team invitations.

Can I have multiple team members on one account?

Yes. Invite teammates from Settings → Team and assign roles such as Admin, Billing, or Read-only. Every action is attributed in the activity log.

How do I close my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Close account. We retain billing records as required by law and delete personal data per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.

Where are passwords stored?

Passwords are hashed using a memory-hard algorithm and never stored in plaintext. We never see your password.

Do you ever hold customer funds?

Accepted Answer

Never. Bitcoin paid against an invoice goes directly from your customer's wallet to the address you control. There is no Paycryptohost-controlled custody layer.

Can I refund a customer?

Yes. Open the paid invoice, click Refund, and send BTC from your wallet to the customer's BTC address — Paycryptohost records the refund against the original invoice.

Are Paycryptohost subscription fees refundable?

Accepted Answer

Subscription plans are refundable within the first 7 days. Because Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, refunds are issued at the BTC market rate on the refund date.

Do you provide an API?

Yes. A REST API plus webhooks covers invoice creation, payment status, and subscription management. SDK examples are in our developer documentation.

Yes. Configure your webhook URL in Settings → API and you'll receive signed events on every invoice status change.
